Da una collaborazione con LaFaenza Ceramiche nascono le Primitive Figures.

Interpretazioni moderne e antropomorfe di personaggi senza un volto ma portatrici di uno strumento che riporta ad antichi mestieri o ruoli.

Quindi il personaggio con il bastone può rimandare al pastore o al medico, mentre quello con la grossa pietra in spalla può ricordare il costruttore, ad esempio. Ruoli antichi e necessari, presenti in ogni cultura e paese.

I personaggi sono stati pensati e poi realizzati da Marcantonio utilizzando forme regolari geometriche, i triangoli, che a differenza di quanto detto fino ad ora, riportano alla modellazione 3D, alla sintesi volumetrica legata alla semplificazione di forme più organiche.

Questo notevole contrasto è accentuato dall'utilizzo delle superfici lucide dei prodotti di LaFaenza, che con le loro nuove linee di ceramiche richiamano le rocce, il marmo, il legno, i materiali naturali che per primi sono stati utilizzati dall'uomo.

From a collaboration with LaFaenza Ceramiche, the Primitive Figures were born.

Modern and anthropomorphic interpretations of characters without a face but carrying an instrument that harks back to ancient professions or roles.

So, the character with the stick can refer to the shepherd or the doctor, while the one with the large stone on his shoulder can recall the builder, for example. Ancient and necessary roles, present in every culture and country.

The characters were designed and then created by Marcantonio using regular geometric shapes, the triangles, which unlike what has been said up to now, hark back to 3D modeling, to the volumetric synthesis linked to the simplification of more organic shapes.

This notable contrast is accentuated by the use of the shiny surfaces of LaFaenza products, which with its new lines of ceramics recalls rocks, marble, wood, the natural materials that were first used by man.
