Questo progetto rappresenta la volontà di ingrandire ed arricchire la “Instinct Illumination”, una collezione profondamente amata e voluta da Marcantonio.
Di fatto, nonostante la sua carriera come industrial designer sia in crescita, Marcantonio ciclicamente torna a scolpire ed a sporcarsi le mani, una sua necessità che lo porta a non stare troppo tempo lontano dal laboratorio.
La Peacock Lamp, infatti, è stata creata con i processi scultorei che normalmente vengono seguiti per realizzare sculture con la tecnica della cera persa, dalla modellatura con la creta alla creazione di uno stampo in grado di leggere ogni minimo dettaglio, per poi arrivare alla riproduzione in cera ed alla fusione in puro ottone, che viene infine lucidato.

“Il pavone mi è sembrato un soggetto perfetto da aggiungere alla famiglia di animali particolari che già fanno parte della Instinct lllumination Collection, è un animale curioso perchè rappresenta eleganza e bellezza, ma allo stesso tempo il suo fare altezzoso e un po' aristocratico mi diverte nel contrasto che crea con il neon!"
L’opera verrà realizzata come edizione limitata in sole 8 copie, certificate e firmate dall’artista.

This project represents the desire to enlarge and enrich the “Instinct Illumination”, a collection deeply loved and desired by Marcantonio.

In fact, despite his career as an industrial designer is growing, Marcantonio cyclically returns to sculpt and get his hands dirty, a necessity that leads him not to spend too much time away from the laboratory.

The Peacock Lamp, in fact, was created with the sculptural processes that are normally followed to create sculptures with the lost wax technique, from modeling with clay to the creation of a mold capable of reading every single detail, to then get to the reproduction in wax and pure brass casting, which is finally polished.

"The peacock seemed to me a perfect subject to add to the family of particular animals that are already part of the Instinct Illumination Collection, it is a curious animal because it represents elegance and beauty, but at the same time its haughty and a little aristocratic attitude amuses me in the contrast it creates with the neon! "

The work will be made as a Limited Edition in 8 copies only, certified and signed by the artist.
