"Durante un viaggio in Salento, zona al sud della Puglia, mi sono innamorato delle luci salentine.
C’è una forte tradizione là, per la quale, durante le feste di paese, le vie principali si riempiono di elaborate strutture in legno bianco con migliaia di piccole luci colorate.
La magia che si crea è forte, una suggestione molto coinvolgente e romantica.
Stefano (Seletti, ndr) era entusiasta all’idea di farmele interpretare.
Ho cercato di disegnare qualcosa di semplice cercando una forma che si differenziasse dalle luminarie classiche, cercavo una forma primordiale, quasi un sole disegnato da un bambino, una cornice dai tratti morbidi.
Abbiamo ridisegnato anche la forma delle lampadine e questo rende le nostre luminarie ancora più oniriche e in grado di creare quel prezioso effetto di stupore nel contesto che le ospita".

"During a trip to Salento, an area in the south of Puglia, I fell in love with the lights of Salento.
There is a strong tradition there, for which, during the village feasts, the main streets are decorated with elaborate white wooden structures with thousands of small colored lights.
The magic that is created is strong, a very engaging and romantic suggestion.
Stefano Seletti was enthusiastic about the idea of letting me interpret them.
I tried to draw something simple, looking for a shape that differs from classical illuminations, I was looking for a primordial shape, almost a sun designed by a child, a frame with soft features.
We have also redesigned the shape of light bulbs and this makes our lights even more dreamlike and able to create that precious effect of amazement in the context hosting them".
